Government Support Manager

Position Purpose:

Facilitate government marker growth and expansion of the government team by providing additional support to existing government accounts.

Functional Responsibilities:

  • Provide prompt and accurate response to existing customer requests and concerns
  • Maintain positive relationships with existing government accounts and key contacts
  • Provide and maintain a weekly project action plan, establish project schedule and milestones, confirm punch list completion, customer follow up and customer survey.
  • Facilitate proactive government team communications within the team as well as other CI Select departments
  • Support government market expansion by providing additional support to existing customer needs
  • When the Government Director is not available, conduct bid kick-off meetings within 1-2 days of receipt of the solicitation
  • Review and assist in determining government solicitation requirements, assign team member tasks and due dates, discuss bid proposal format and strategy with Government Director
  • Uphold high government team standards of prompt and accurate information
  • Assist in developing a won/lost spreadsheet for government bids and proposals
  • Participate and provide any necessary guidance in weekly government team meetings
  • Recognize any team vulnerability or opportunity for improved sales and service
  • Help develop and maintain online government market presence
  • Assist in creating online government project profiles
  • Guided by CI Select's Core Values, maintain a professional and respectful relationship with team members, support staff and vendor contacts

Knowledge/Skills/Attributes/Behaviors Needed:

  • Associates degree required, bachelor's degree preferred
  • 3-5 years relevant industry experience preferred, particularly in the government sector
  • Highly motivated and goal oriented
  • Proficiently in use of Microsoft Suite: Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Professional conduct and appearance
  • Support the CI Select vision statement and core values
  • Confidence and above average presentation skills
  • Ability to effectively communicate with all levels of an organization
  • Maturity to work with little supervision and establish priorities
  • Above average planning, organizational and time management skills
  • Adherence to all company policies and rules

  • Ability to provide industry leading customer service and support
  • Existing knowledge of the contract office furniture industry
  • Ability to facilitate effective communications among team members
