Warehouse Associate

Position Purpose:

Maintain warehouse operation functions with receiving, picking and delivering materials to job sites.  Monitor accurate stock inventory.  Ensure Company vehicles, warehouse equipment and tools are maintained and in good working condition.

Responsibilities:

• Unload merchandise from trucks and position in inventory space using Company forklift equipment when necessary. Inspect merchandise immediately for any damages and verify carton counts against the packing slip and purchase order.  Packing slips are given to the Flooring Warehouse Coordinator for filing.
• Incoming product is inspected for damage and/or shortages. If necessary prepare Damage Notification Report or Order Shortage Notification.
• Material received without a Purchase Order will be inspected and located in a bin.  Work with Flooring Warehouse Coordinator to obtain Purchase Order from Project Coordinator.
• Pick materials noted on Pick Tickets, initial each item picked. This includes any tools required on the job.  All Pick Tickets will be noted as "P" Pickup or "D" Deliver.   All Pick Ticket orders should be staged for the next day delivery or pickup.  All pickup tickets need to be signed by the individual receiving the merchandise whether it is from the warehouse or on the job site.
• Prepare daily delivery/pickup schedule for truck driver(s). Plan deliveries in best logistic and economical manner.
• Verify the truck drivers deliver merchandise correctly and get proper signature on all deliveries on job sites. Assist with delivering merchandise to job site(s) when necessary.
• Safeguard no materials leave the warehouse without completing the proper paperwork. A Hot Shot Ticket is used for walk-in requests.  The Hot Shot Ticket must also be signed by the individual picking up the material.
• Confirm that the proper paperwork is completed on all delivered, picked up and returned merchandise from a job and is given to the Flooring Warehouse Coordinator. The Return Merchandise form requires the signature of the driver or warehouse personnel performing the return.  Returns should be performed within 24 hours of returning to the warehouse.
• Monitor and order necessary stock items.
• Arrange for product pickup(s) per salespeople.
• Maintain inventory of RAD Carpet Stock and Scottrade.
• Cut broadloom carpet per cut sheet(s) instructions.
